Check out our anniversary party pics

We were thrilled to have nearly 500 friends brave the rainy skies on January 24 to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of The Buzz Magazines.

The party at Hotel Sorella’s new Meetings & Events Centre was orchestrated by Ashleigh Scanlan’s Double the Details. It featured miles of creative food tables and liquid nitrogen ice cream from Rosemary’s Catering, petals galore from Lexis Florist, an Absolut vodka press station, a lovely cigar girl doling out Houston’s own Hight Cigars and a nightcap of milk and cookies from Michael’s Cookie Jar. Shimmering in silver suits, PSOM Live had the crowd singing along to R&B favorites, while others packed the Pura Vida margarita bar or gazed transfixed at New Orleans-based magician Dante. The Face Exchange provided guests with a photo of themselves on the cover of The Buzz. Photos of the evening were captured by Kim Coffman Photography.

Thanks for the great pictures……but of course they would be great since it was a fantastic party! The evening was magical with high energy level. It was beautifully planned with speical “touches” that simply contributed greatly to the total party. Since you were busy charming your guests all evening, there must have been someone behind the scenes insuring that everything ran perfectly. If so, your party planner hit all the right notes and it was a lovely event. We felt fortunate to be included. Would you be willing to share your planners contact info?
On a personal note, it is clear why you are so successful. I watched as you and Michael made everyone feel special and that each person had been key to your success. That is a rare quality to be able to make everyone feel better about themselves. Take care. Gigi

These pictures truly capture the joy of the evening…first of all, how do you know so many people? So many nice people? Its true that everybody there thought that THEY were your best friends…but you and I know that I’M really your BEST FRIEND!!! Everyone loves Joni and Michael! You guys had an amazing party! I felt like was out of town and that it was a Saturday night. It was truly a magical evening! The magic started as David and I walked in the door not knowing what appetizer to choose. Then as we kept walking we found more and more food. The food was beautifully displayed and delicious! .And, those healthy vodka drinks! To end the evening I had ice cream and returned for seconds! The milk and cookies were a perfect touch to a perfectly thought out party!

What a truly lovely party- the food was delicious and inventive, the venue dazzling, and the hosts charming, as always! What a pleasure to celebrate 10 years of The Buzz Magazine- sharing our local stories, bringing neighbors together, and keeping us informed. Joni and Michael, you are the best!
